Supporting our local communities is a huge part of who we are. At Spring Valley Building Centre, it is our mission to give back and stay involved. Below you will find a collection of organizations that we are very proud to support!
We are happy to make annual donations to the PCH Foundation as well as take part in raising funds for Operation Spare Change every spring.
Camp Triumph has a special place in our hearts. We have been honored to collaborate with the camp on their Annual Kayak Sprint for 10 years and also sell tickets at our store for the New London Chase the Ace in support of Camp Triumph.
Our team is grateful to partner with Habitat for Humanity PEI. We are the building supply sponsor for “Vision 2020," a 3-three year project that will ultimately see 20 Island families purchase a safe, decent, and affordable home.
We love supporting and encouraging the youth of our local communities. Giving teams the opportunity to play a sport they love is extremely rewarding. We are happy to give back to local teams, leagues and sporting events, as well as sponsor rinks and fields.
We enjoy staying involved with the construction industry here on the Island in any way we can. Our Marketing Director, Brianna, sits on the Board of the Canadian Home Builder’s Association as a representative of Spring Valley Building Centre. She travelled to Ottawa to attend the National Meetings on behalf of PEI in the fall of 2019. We are also happy to attend and sponsor the annual events hosted by the organization, including their golf tournament.
Spring of 2020 was a challenging time for a lot of Islanders. We wanted to do our part to give back, and created “Bird House Kits” to sell in support of the PEI School Food Program. The initiative provided meals to families struggling during the challenging time. With the support of our community, we were able to raise over $2,000 for the cause! Thank you!
So much community spirit right here in Kensington! We love getting involved with the annual Harvest Festival.
Always a fantastic time attending Bowl for Kids Sake in support of Big Brother Big Sisters PEI.
We were excited to once again be invited to compete in a friendly competition among local businesses to grow the best garden at “Ross’s Place,” a community garden here in Kensington. The garden plots allow local residents to use the boxes for a hobby, to grow healthy veggies or simply spend time together.
We are always happy to have the opportunity to work with Queen Elizabeth Elementary School here in Kensington. They were recently in need of a second AED machine at the school and we are grateful that we were able to support them. Community sponsors and our local police apartment were able to give out 47 bicycles at the school’s bike rodeo last year!
